This weeks question is:
What's the most dramatic road trip you've ever been on?
In 2011 my dad decided we were going to move out to Seattle, Washington. This was something that took us completely by surprise because we had been living in Ohio for five years. So instead of doing the normal flying out to Seattle, we drove out to Seattle...
Yes, we drove across the whole country practically, but it was one of the most awesome and unforgettable trips that I had ever taken! We got to see so many cool sites like, Yellowstone, Mount Rushmore, Devil's Tower, Sun Valley and more!! It took us a long time to get to Seattle but we finally made it! Seattle was so beautiful, we went to see the Space Needle of course (which was super awesome by the way!) And we just had so much fun there!!
But after a month of being in Seattle, my dad decided we should move back to our house in Ohio! We were all completely taken aback when my dad had told us that, but we were also feeling like this wasn't the right place for us to be living in. So we packed our things and drove the long journey back home!

That is a long drive, but it's really pretty so it's worth it! I'm guessing you went to Seattle during the 10 months a year it's raining, because no one ever wants to leave the other two months of the year ;)
ReplyDeleteYeah it was a REALLY long drive LOL! Yes and we did go when it was rainy!!
DeleteCross-country is such a fun trip! Glad you got to experience it, even if you didn't stick with Seattle :) We got here, stayed eight months, left, and now we're back. Finding a good "home" can take some effort sometimes.

Thanks for visiting! :D
Hi Alyssa,
ReplyDeleteHAD to come by and visit when I saw your blog name! I think it's the best blog names ever...because...my blog is also called Life is Good! And now I know when I look at a list of blogs people follow, because some people follow us both, I know who you are.
I also wanted to welcome you to the A-Z Challenge! I'm one of the co-hosts, and we're just wandering around saying "hi" to people we don't know. I'd love it if you have time to come say hi to me, too, but don't feel obligated. I also LOVE road trips, and have several stories about our adventures over at my place. There's a search box at the WAAAAY bottom of my right sidebar

Yeah, I saw that you and Tina have the same blog name too, I follow you both and always get confused!! lol - I followed you before as running4him- I guess the most dynamic trip I was on was when my family drove from Maine to Texas to Idaho back to Maine through Ohio, soooooo awesome! I love our country!!
ReplyDeleteThat road trip that you went on sounds awesome too!! :)
DeleteI can't say I've ever seen something man-made as beautiful as that cityscape photo you've got there, but my most dramatic road-trip would probably have been driving up through Central Australia. Especially the 5AM starts, during which we saw the sunrise from the tour-bus. It was pretty awesome!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds soo awesome!! :D
DeleteLoved sharing your travels Alyssa thank you! I live in South Africa - a beautiful country - and have travelled much of it on road trips but there is till sooo much more!
